Market Harborough Padel Club

We rather like Padel clubs that emerge out of cricket and squash clubs and that is how Harborough Padel Club came to be in September 2020.

Of course, the combination of the underarm serve, the enclosed walls the social nature of the game have gone down a storm with the cricket and squash section.

They have also cleverly maximised the space available, with the two padel courts at right angles to the nets. We are sure the cricketers and the padel players have some fun with that!

The first Padel courts in the East Midlands at a club with a long and rich history for sport, the Market Harborough Cricket Club was formed over 175 years while the squash club reports to have over 200 members and been in existence for 50 years.

It’s great to hear the partnership between squash and padel at the club laying on an extensive programme for juniors and new players to get involved with the sport.   And they also do club nights with a difference, all sports nights, with table tennis, squash, padel, petanque and Racket ball.
