Sponsorship Spotlight: How One Family (and Nexus ReGen) Came to UK PADEL

Jul 16, 2026

If you play at Holmer Green or Princes Risborough, there’s a good chance you already know Will and Pip Rundle. They’ve been members for over two years, playing multiple games a week, and have become as much a part of the furniture as the glass walls themselves.

Will grew up in Cornwall, splitting his time between the squash courts and surfing, while Pip was a lifelong tennis player in the local area. Put them head-to-head in their respective sports and it didn’t quite work. Padel proved to be the obvious solution, levelling the playing field and giving them a hobby they both fell in love with.

But why UK PADEL in particular? The community, the familiar friendly faces, the impromptu games that regularly pop up, and the post-match socialising are what keeps them coming back. They even play at the Newquay club when visiting Will’s family in Cornwall, where they’re welcomed like lifelong members every time.

The Bumps Along the Way

Life has been eventful for Will and Pip recently, notably welcoming their first baby in January. Not wanting to miss out on the action, Pip managed to play pretty much the whole way through her pregnancy, only to be sidelined by an ACL rupture in recent weeks. She plans to return to the court as soon as she’s over the injury.

And what about the metaphorical bumps of sharing a hobby in a marriage? Well, perhaps the less said about that the better! Will’s signature move is his smash. It’s thunderous, enthusiastic, and deployed slightly more often than Pip would like. The post-match debate about this is a reliable fixture of their routine, with Will’s standard response to any complaint being “you need to move your feet more, Pip.” (It’s always delivered with the confidence of a man who has already forgotten the smash that started the debate in the first place.)

Who are Nexus ReGen?

So, why is UK PADEL introducing you to the Rundles? Because alongside the padel, the post-match beers and the smash debates, Will and Pip run Nexus ReGen, the proud net sponsors on the Shandy Shack Court at Holmer Green.

Will has spent his career working in construction, and for many years watched the same frustrating thing happen, project after project: huge amounts of perfectly usable material like soils and aggregates sent to landfill because it was the easy option and what the industry had always done. It bothered him enough that he decided to do something about it, and Nexus ReGen is the result.

The Nexus ReGen platform connects construction sites that have surplus material with sites that need it, resulting in less waste, fewer lorry movements, and significant cost savings. Projects on the platform have saved hundreds of thousands of pounds while keeping thousands of tonnes of material out of landfill.

The other side of their business is compliance. Moving materials around in construction comes with a lot of legal responsibility and paperwork, and getting it wrong can be costly. Nexus ReGen’s software ensures every material movement is properly documented and traceable, allowing construction teams to prove they’ve done the right thing every step of the way.

Construction has long been one of the most traditional and analogue industries around, built on who you know rather than what you know, and resistant to change. Nexus ReGen set out to disrupt exactly that, pioneering the digitalisation of materials management and dragging one of the UK’s biggest industries into the modern age. In just a couple of years, their customer base has grown to include the UK’s largest housebuilders, National Highways.

Between the padel court, a new baby, and building a business together, Will and Pip’s lives are about as intertwined as two peoples can get, and they wouldn’t have it any other way!
