Fastest-Growing Sport Meets Fastest-Growing City

Milton Keynes grew its housing stock faster than any other UK city in 2023-24, when it added more than 2,000 new homes in a single year – and its population has soared by nearly 16% in the past decade. Padel is also on a steep upward curve, rocketing from 15,000 British players in 2019 to one million this year. On 17th October, the two come together at Willen Lake.

UK PADEL Milton Keynes brings four covered, all-weather courts and two open-air courts to a city of around 300,000 people, and memberships are open now. If you’ve never picked up a racket, the two-month Beginner membership costs just £25 and includes three free sessions. Want to commit already? Annual membership is £145 (£72.50 for students and juniors), with booking up to 21 days ahead and access to courts at every UK PADEL club.

Plus, if you join before midnight on 18th October, we’ll add £30 of court credit to your account. The full booking schedule goes live on 2nd October, so now is the time to get in early.

Masters Series Kicks Off in Swansea

The relaunched UK PADEL Masters Series gets under way at Jaxx Padel in Swansea on 10th-11th October, and there’s still time to grab your spot. This season there are five categories to choose from: O40, O50 and O60, plus two brand new brackets, Open and O70. Whether you’re a rising club competitor or an experienced former tennis regular, one of these draws is for you. Entry is open to absolutely everyone, and as this is the opening event of the new Masters Series, we want to make a real splash with it. Swansea is the first of five stops in a season that also visits Stratford, Glasgow and Albufeira before the Finals in Tunbridge Wells next March. Find a partner, pick your category and get your names on the entry list.

Padel is Therapy: We Should Know!

Sometimes you just need something that will take you away from the daily 9-to-5 and the stresses of modern living. Faye and Phil find that hitting a padel ball really hard tends to do the trick, and takes you to an altogether healthier place. Of course, padel can be competitive, but the main thing is releasing that pent-up energy and emotion, and enjoying the on-court camaraderie. Faye and Phil know from their own experience how much a session can help you reset. It won’t solve everything, but an hour on a padel court is usually enough to make the world feel just that little bit better. That’s always been part of the UK PADEL ethos, and we’re excited to bring these vibes to Willen Lake, Milton Keynes, next month too.

Your Rallies: Best of the Action

You know you’ve got a quality highlights reel on your hands when no. 5 features an utterly brilliant behind-the-back winner. From there, we bring you a super rally between four of our newer players, some top-drawer padel from the Over 60 County Cup and, at no. 1, an entertaining point involving a club regular known as “The Viking”. We’ll let the clip do the talking, but we think it’s worth the wait. Hit the button below and enjoy our latest Top 5.

Hollywood Falls for Padel

Celebrity endorsement of padel is hardly a new thing, but equally it shows no sign of stopping. Eva Longoria has told The Hollywood Reporter she is now “obsessed”, travels everywhere with two rackets and has courts at her homes in Los Angeles, Mexico City and Marbella. Her verdict on tennis? “The court is too big, and I’m just chasing the ball.” Padel, she says, is “fun for anybody”, whether you’re an expert or “kind of good like me”. David Beckham, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jay-Z have all been spotted on court, while Tom Holland calls it “one of my favourite sports”. Hollywood has found its new favourite game.
